Weekend Update.
Hello there. This week began with no creative inspiration. No matter how hard I tried, nothing seemed to come together in just the right way! I could look at fabric all I wanted but alas, I can't make something unless I'm in love with it.
Luckily I am so out of that funk! I am filled with inspiration! Here are my top 5 inspirational finds at the moment.
1. J. Crew. Seriously. In my dreams, I am dressed head to toe in this stores preppy feminine garb.
2. Anthropologie. Of course.
3. Fabric Depot. Over an acre of fabric. 20,000 designer cottons.
How could you leave that place uninspired?!
4. Etsy. There are so many amazing sellers out there. All you have to do is search
one word and the cutest things appear!
I searched Nautical accessories.
These buttons.
This bracelet.
5. This may not inspire much by the way of creativity for my shop but...I love this video.
Tony and I haven't stopped singing this song for weeks.
Have a lovely weekend!

Weekend Update.
Happy Saturday to all! Here I am again to share my favorite little finds from around the interweb.
1. Art by Cori Dantini.
I saw her work at Crafty Wonderland here in Portland last week,
not to be missed. Now...how to choose a print?!
2. This Mason Jar Pendant light from
Pigeon Toe Ceramics. Another find from
Crafty Wonderland.
3. Jackpot Records.
If you are in need of a new music fix, cruise through the
new music section. It's a local record store here in P town
and it's amazing.
4. BOATS! The Mister and I want a boat so badly,
we can't even talk about it.
5. Artwork by Joe Ryckebosch.
Another Crafty Wonderland find.
I do believe Tony would have brought one home...
had our bank account permitted us to do so.
That's it for now!
I will have my regular midweek shop update soon.
I'll post on here with all new pretties.

Weekend Update.
Hello there! It has been such a busy week, hasn't it? When you work with greeting cards, holidays always go by in a woooosh! Here is a list of some cute little things that remind me of my own dear Mother.
My Mother is an embroidery master. She has been teaching me ever since I was ten or so. I hope to (someday) master the art of embroidery (somewhat) close to the level of my Mother and the lovely Susie Cowie.

ps Susie Cowie does work for Anthropologie. How could she NOT rule?
2. My Mom raised me to with manners. I could have dinner with the Queen and be quite alright in the manners department. If I don't send a Thank You note, I can hear my Mom's voice in my head...it's quick, easy and shows you care!
These notes from Leah Dieterich (who was inspired by her Mother) crack me up.

3. Flowers. I get my love of all things floral from my Mom.

4. On an unrelated note, these albums have been in rotation around here. They should be in rotation in your home too!
Jakob Dylan - Women & Country

Local Natives - Gorilla Manor
Have a great weekend! My whole family is headed out the the coast to spend Mother's Day with my dear Grandmother.

Weekend Update.
Here are some of my favorite things right now!
Hopefully this will become a regular thing 'round these here parts.
1. OBVIOUSLY I need to begin stocking up on more colorful books. No more .25 cent paperbacks for this girl. I love the look of this library.
found via Deliciously Organized
2. This restaurant, Cup and Saucer. It's the healthiest, most delicious greasy diner in the world. It's in Hawthorne, the Mister and I love to go for hot chocolate, grilled vegetable sandwiches and delicious curry soup.
3. This entire house is beautiful. I love the bright colors, white trim and vintage accents.
found via Apartment Therapy
4. When the Mister and I have children
(which will not be within the next nine months,
in case you were wondering)
they will wear clothing from Caramel. Wallet allowing, of course.
The clothes are so cute, it almost kills me.
5. Octopus Chandeliers by Adam Wallacavage.
I don't believe I need to say anything more.
I'll just let their awesomeness speak for itself.
